The Theology and Action Research Network (TARN) connects up researchers and practitioners involved in a variety of action and participative research with a theological perspective. The and in our title is important to us, as it highlights our multi-perspective, trans-disciplinary reach. Originally, the Network grew out of work done in developing the theological action research methodology. If you wish to learn more, please read our History.
The Team is keen to broaden this conversation to include not only practical theologians, but action researchers involved in participative research and faith based practitioners across the globe. Our hope is to build up a more active network through which we learn from each other and expand our collective experiences in working with theological action research.
We offer annual seminars, training days, and colloquia. We also provide a space on the website for sharing research ideas and experiences. If you are interested in joining our mailing list, contact us by using the form provided.
